Quilting with ash

It appears that by tomorrow I might be able to quilt with real volcanic ash.... see this news picture and associated links.

My guests from England were supposed to return on the 15th but have been waylaid in Vancouver until later in the week. I was going to post abut teh eruption, but Helen beat me to it. Here's some more great pictures:

As for the eruption being 12x12's fault, I know we're strong women, but I don't think we're that powerful!!

It is somewhat eerie.

My parents have just completed a 27 day trip including Spain, South Africa, Kenya, Egypt and France. They were supposed to return on Sunday, but have been told they will not be able to get a flight until Friday. They are frustrated and tired, but trying to make the most of it.
